Week 3:  13-6 victory over Erie in Erie on September 16, 2011

erie

Another tough road game is in the books.  The boys continue to get better and played hard for 4 quarters against a very good Erie team.  Thanks to some huge special team plays and hard hitting the Mustangs take another win away from the home team.  We must get better this week and continue to stress that each snap needs to be better than the last.  We must be ready for a highly rated Roosevelt team.  Great opportunity to get better and play another Friday Night Lights game at Legion.       Head Coach Harrison Chisum

Week 4:  42-14 loss to Roosevelt in Fort Morgan on September 23, 2011

rooseveltWe faced a very tough and physical Roosevelt team last Friday night.  They are a very good football team.  It is a great opportunity for us to put that one behind us and work on the little things that we need to do to be successful.  We face another great test on Friday night when we travel to Berthoud for our final non league game.  It is their homecoming game so they will be pumped up and will be ready.....so will we.   Head Coach Harrison Chisum

Week 5:   19-6 Win over Berthoud in Berthoud on September 30, 2011

berthoudAnother homecoming game for the Mustangs and another homecoming win for the Mustangs.  A very tough opponent in Berthoud and a 0-0 tie at halftime lead to a better performance by us in the second half.  Continued to work and was fortunate to come out with a 19-6 victory.  We now must shift our focus to Windsor.  A highly ranked and very solid football team comes into Legion.  This is also the conference opener for both teams.  Would love to see the stands packed! Head Coach Harrison Chisum

Week 6:  27 -6 loss to Windsor in Fort Morgan on October 7, 2011

windsorAnother tough loss at Legion Field.  A good Windsor team did what they needed to do to take home the first conference win.  We as a program needs to go back to work this week and get better this week.  We go on the road for the 4th time and for the 3rd time we will be the homecoming game.  We will need to TCB and get better every snap this week in practice.  Northridge has been always a tough place to play and they will be ready to play hard for their homecoming.....so will we. Head Coach Harrison Chisum

Week 7:  24-13 WIN at Northridge on October 14, 2011

northridgeWe were the Homecoming game on the road once again and once again we won.  Northridge is a good program and their QB is a tough kid.  We played hard and got the job done.  It took both hard running and physical defense to get the win.  We now have our own Homecoming game.  Goal is to be 4-0 in homecoming games in one season.  Hope to have the stands packed.  Fort Lupton is one of the biggest teams in our league.  They will be ready to play and so will we....

Head Coach Harrison Chisum

Week 8: 29-28 OT Homecoming Loss to Fort Lupton on Oct 21, 2011

fort lupton

A tough Homecoming game at Legion against Fort Lupton.  We must get better this week and continue to want to get better.  We will travel to Frederick on Friday night for a big game.  We hope to see as many as can make that trip. We will have a full week of work and will be ready to go on Friday.  They are a good football team and will be ready to play BUT so are we and we will be ready to play as well.  Head Coach Harrison Chisum

Week 9: 21-7 Loss at Frederick on October 28, 2011

frederickAnother tough loss for the Mustangs against Frederick.  Just did not do the little things to steal a win from a good Frederick team.  Last game under the lights for the 2011 season but more importantly the last time the seniors get to put on that Mustang uniform.  We hope to have the stands packed.  We will honor the seniors with 15 minutes left on the clock.  Sterling is coming to town hungry for a win.  Sterling has been playing good football and bottom line no matter what the records are or when we play it is still STERLING vs FORT MORGAN.  Going to be a physical football game on both sides of the football.  We are looking forward to it!! Head Coach Harrison Chisum

Week 10: Loss 21-7 at home to Sterling November 4, 2011

Another season has come and gone.  Always looking back you are amazed as a coach how fast it really goes.  This season has had its ups and its downs. Adversity has and always be a part of the football seasons.  The life lesson learned from adversity is that you can fight it and make the best of the situation or you can feel sorry for yourself and not attempt to fight.  I am proud of the young men that finished the season.  It is always hard to lose your senior class but we are thankful for all that they have done.  Thanks to all the people that have helped and made this season possible.  Wish everyone good luck throughout the year and future seasons.  Head Coach Harrison Chisumchisum
